DMG Blockchain Solutions has announced a significant evolution in its Christina Lake strategy, fast-tracking its shift from traditional Bitcoin mining toward building a world-class 50-MW liquid-cooled AI data center. Leveraging one of the few Canadian sites with immediate access to renewable, transmission-grade power and close proximity to major population centers, DMG plans to partner with leading technology and infrastructure organizations to transform Christina Lake into a flagship hub for sovereign AI compute. This positions the company at the forefront of a rapidly growing market where demand for GPU-dense, energy-efficient AI infrastructure continues to surge.

The company also confirmed it remains on schedule to close its acquisition of a 27,600 sq. ft. data-center facility in Boardman, Oregon, expanding its North American footprint and future capacity for both AI workloads and digital-asset infrastructure. Reflecting its strategic pivot, DMG has withdrawn its previously stated year-end Bitcoin hashrate guidance as it focuses resources on converting Christina Lake for AI. While the site will transition out of Bitcoin mining, the company reaffirmed that mining will continue as a foundational pillar of its broader digital-asset financial services platform. CEO Sheldon Bennett emphasized DMG’s commitment to Indigenous partnerships and collaboration with the federal government to help advance a pan-Canadian vision for sovereign AI.

Operationally, DMG reported steady performance in November, mining 22 BTC and increasing its hashrate to 1.81 EH/s while limiting liquidations to rebuild its bitcoin treasury, which grew to 380 BTC by month-end. These results highlight the company's disciplined operational approach as it undertakes a major strategic realignment. With demand for secure, renewable-powered AI compute accelerating across Canada, DMG’s evolving infrastructure portfolio positions the company to capture new, higher-value opportunities in both the AI and digital-asset sectors.
